Sunshine Financials (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information, and the rights available to you. It applies to this website and to our dealings with clients and prospective clients.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us: name, date of birth, PAN, Aadhaar (masked), contact details, postal address, bank details, occupation and income range, tax residency and TIN, family and nominee details, investment goals and risk tolerance, existing holdings, and the KYC documents you upload.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring URL and time of visit. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to us unless you choose to send them.

Information from third parties: KYC status and records from KRAs, transaction and holding data from RTAs (CAMS, KFintech), AMCs and depositories, in respect of investments made through us.

2. Why we use it

• To complete your KYC and to process, execute and service your investments;
• To prepare plans, reviews, reports and statements for you;
• To communicate with you about your holdings, service matters and, where you have consented, market commentary;
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including under SEBI and AMFI requirements and anti-money-laundering law; and
• To maintain records, resolve disputes and protect against fraud.

3. Lawful basis and consent

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of the services you ask us to provide, and our legal and regulatory obligations. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by writing to us — though we may then be unable to continue providing some services.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only as necessary, with:

• KYC Registration Agencies and Registrars & Transfer Agents;
• Asset Management Companies, insurers and other product manufacturers whose products you invest in;
• Depositories, exchanges and authorised transaction platforms;
• Regulators, tax authorities, courts and law-enforcement agencies where required by law; and
• Our professional advisers and technology service providers, under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

5. Security

Personal data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access restricted to personnel who need it to do their work. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. However, no method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, OTPs, full Aadhaar numbers or card credentials to us by any channel.

6. Retention

We retain records for as long as you remain a client and thereafter for the periods required by applicable law — generally at least eight years from the date of the relevant transaction under prevailing record-keeping requirements. Data no longer required is deleted or anonymised.

7. Cookies

This website uses only essential storage. Your acknowledgement of the disclaimer notice is stored locally in your browser so that the notice does not reappear on every page; it is not transmitted to us. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Clearing your browser storage will remove this record. Any embedded third-party content, such as a map, may set its own cookies governed by that provider's policy.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to: confirm what personal data we hold about you; provide a copy of it; correct anything inaccurate or incomplete; erase data we no longer need to retain; or stop sending you marketing communications. Write to job.neroth@sunshinefinancials.com and we will respond within thirty days. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

9. Children

We do not knowingly collect data directly from anyone under eighteen. Where an investment is made for a minor, the data is provided and controlled by the guardian.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date, and material changes will be notified to clients directly.
